Cut File Idea | Slanted Strips Backing

From the day I made this rainbow cut file I've been waiting for some free time to create with it! I'm so glad I finally got to make that happen!

Here's the cut file I used...

And here's the layout I created with it...

I used a mix of different patterned papers from various 6x6" paper pads to fill in the four different sections of pink, yellow, orange, and teal. I thought it would be fun to include lots of different patterns in the same color.

I slanted each piece so they overlap at different angles. This went surprisingly fast! Sometimes backing cut files can take some time, but this was a quick one.

After I had the whole cut file backed with papers I adhered it to my layout and added the white chain link stitch to the border of the cut file. I love the texture this added, especially since I was using a white cardstock base for the layout. This helps the border of the cut file stand out.

On the colored sections I added some hand-stitching in coordinating colors to really highlight that arrangement of papers.

To finish the look I added some small punched hearts and enamel hearts to match the colors of each section and the clouds. I also added a few chipboard clouds with foam adhesive.
