Doodlebug really did an amazing job with their "Berry Sweet" collection! It typical Doodlebug fashion it has so many adorable patterns and details and it all served as the inspiration for this cut file and layout design!

I loved the idea of creating a large coordinating cut file and creating a pattern inside of the strawberry. I used several red patterned papers cut into small squares and arranged them diagonally across the opening.

To make this super easy I saved the middle cut out piece and adhered the squares on top of that. Then I trimmed off any pieces hanging over the edges.

When I adhered the backed cut file onto the layout I also adhered the pattern covered middle piece inside the strawberry frame.

After the cut file was adhered on the layout I added stitching on top of the diamond pattern to really highlight the design and make that detail stand out. I also added some stitching along the whole cut file frame. Since I was adhering the white frame onto a white base, this added dimension and texture to help the frame stand out.

One of the things I really love about this particular cut file is that you can create all kind so patterns inside that strawberry opening! You could try...
