Scrapbook Design Idea | Cluster Frame

The layout I am sharing today is one of those that at first glance might seem complicated or time consuming because of the detail, but in reality it's a really quick and easy concept!

Supplies used - Cardstock: American Crafts; Patterned paper and die cuts: Simple Stories; Embroidery floss: DMC; Computer font: Century Gothic

To create this design I started off by cutting a square out of the center of a green leaf patterned paper. Then I laid it down on top of my white cardstock base, lining up the edges together, and used a pencil to trace the inner square onto the white cardstock. This line serves as a guide for where to place the flowers.

Next I used a package of pre-made flower and leaf die cuts from Simple Stories and adhered them all around the pencil line forming a large frame cluster.

I used foam adhesive on some one edge of some leaves and then tucked them under other pieces to add some dimension here and there.

A little tip: you can really stretch the mileage of the die cuts by cutting the larger floral arrangements in half and using both pieces.

Then after I had all of those die cut flowers and leave arranged to my liking, I adhere the patterned paper frame on top.

You could easily adapt this concept to so many themes and elements too! Just use a different set of pre-made embellishments following the same method.
