Scrapbook Design Idea | Heart Filled Sunburst

This is not the first time I've created a sunburst-style design with stitch hearts in it. It's just one of those design concepts that I'll forever enjoy creating and the end result is always so fun and detailed!

For this layout the sunburst patterned paper did a large portion of the work! I love papers like that! The ones that already have a strong design element on them that you can use just as it is or maybe add some extra details to it.

I decided to first cut down the seams of each sunburst section (without cutting them all the way apart) so that I could run my fingernail along the edge and distress it a little.
Then I used my Silhouette to cut out several hearts in a variety of sizes and used those as template to trace around. I started with the larger hearts at the outer edge of each strip and worked my way up to smaller hearts towards the center.

For the stitching I used coordinating colors of embroidery floss to match the colors of the sunburst.
To finish the design I cut two larger hearts on my Silhouette, layered them together, and added my photo, title, and journaling to it.

This such an easy concept and one that could work with different shapes in place of the stitched hearts too!
