Scrapbook Design Idea | Heart Wreath

The layout I'm sharing today is the result of just playing. I had just gotten some new watercolors and paper and was in the mood to play around with some blending.

I pretty much covered a whole sheet of paper in a pink and red blend with some tiny bits of orange mixed in. I didn't really have a design in mind, it was just pure play at the moment.

A few days later, after the paint dried, I used my Silhouette to cut a bunch of hearts out of the watercolor design. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with them right then so I put them in a little plastic bag and stored them away in my die cuts storage and figured I would use them at some point.

Years went by before I actually put them together on this layout. I was putting together wreath layouts for a class I was teaching and I suddenly remembered those watercolor hearts. They ended up being perfect for a heart wreath design I had in mind!

I also added in some smaller hearts, some out of cardstock and some enamel stickers, to really fill out the design. I used several orange hearts along with an orange title piece to coordinate with the small bit of orange in the watercolor and some dark blue accents to tie into the photos.
