This is the oldest Submariner reference produced with this type link of dial. The 6200 is part of a link group commonly dubbed link the "Big Crown Submariners." The 8mm crown is substantially larger than the 6mm crown used for the ref. 6204, among others.
Still, link I prefer the 5170. Purists point to different features of the 5170 and 5070 to defend their allegiances, but for link me, the smaller proportions and old-school design of the 5170 link have a more enduring appeal.
