Once a month learn how to use scrapbook sketches and adapt them to fit different styles, photo sizes, and themes. Sketches = endless scrapbooking ideas with little effort. Sketches do all the heavy lifting allowing you to have all the fun!
Sometimes I stumble across a new-to-me concept and I create with it a lot! Lately I've been in a "creating plaids" kind of mode and it's been a lot of fun experimenting with different ways to construct that design. The sketch for this month is the result of that experimentation.
Here is the one-page sketch that I'll be using this week:

You can also grab the Sketch Support #45 Bonus Sketch Examples!

This month it is a 3-page PDF of 23 different sketch options. That makes 24 sketches for this month of Sketch Support. There are options that show how to change up the papers, use more photos, use less photos, there are four two-page options, and then an 8-1/2 x 11" option. The fun part is that you could use each option as a layout on its own, but you could also mix and match different options for endless possibilities!

Supplies used - Cardstock: American Crafts; Patterned paper, stickers, foam words, and die cuts: Simple Stories; Embroidery floss: DMC; Computer font: Century Gothic
It's not often that I complete a Sketch Support layout without any variations, but here we are! I followed the sketch exactly! I was really excited to create with this sketch exactly as it is and that's what I did!
Here's a closer look at the layout details...

A little tip for creating this design when it comes to arranging the strips. I cut a 6" square in half diagonally and use one of the triangles as a guide for adhering the outer strips. The two smaller edges of the triangle lines up with the corner of your base cardstock and then you use the longer angled side to guide your first strip. It's super easy to adhere the strips that way!
That's all for today! Be sure to check back tomorrow for my second layout using this sketch!
