Spellbinder Guest Designer | Layout #2

Yesterday I shared the first layout in my blog post for Spellbinders. Today, I've got the second one from that same post. You can see the whole post here

Supplies - Patterned papers, die cuts, chipboard, stickers, and foam stickers: Simple Stories; Embroidery floss: DMC; Gems: Spellbinders Essential Gems

For this layout I again went with a wreath style design with a little bit of a different approach. I started with a large heart that I covered in torn strips of patterned paper. I added a chain link stitch around the edge of the heart to help define the heart shape.

I used foam adhesive to adhere the large heart and then added lots of flowers slightly tucked under that heart.

For even more dimension and detail, I added lots of butterflies, typewrite keys w/ hearts, and foam hearts around the whole design.

I finished the design with some Spellbinders Essential Gems for some sparkle.

The watch seems intended to link project the seriousness of its intentions in terms of utility. The crown is on the left although it doesn't link necessarily need to be, screwed down all the way it sits basically flush with the crown guards, which don't stick out very far from the case itself. I had a link hilarious moment when I tried to turn the bezel the first time – there is knurling on the side of the case that looks at first like it's part of the bezel, but it's not.
