Scrapbook Design Idea | Creating a Scene

One of my favorite ways to play around with a theme is to create a scene on my layout. It's so fun and playful and gives you an opportunity to go a little theme crazy!

Supplies used - Cardstock: American Crafts; Patterned papers: American Crafts and Simple Stories; Sunburst cut file: Silhouette Design Store, Paige Evans; Cloud cut file: Silhouette Design Store, Imaginisce; Tree cut files: Silhouette Design Store, Echo Park Paper; Die cut title and foam alphabet stickers: American Crafts; Word stickers: My Mind's Eye; Embroidery floss: DMC; Computer font: Century Gothic
For this layout I started with a square sunburst as my background. I used my Silhouette to cut out the sunburst from the darker yellow/orange paper and adhered that over the yellow dotted paper. Then I added the circle in that same yellow dotted paper on top.

For the mountains, I cut five triangles out of different colorful patterned papers and then added the white cap at the top of each one. All of the mountains are layered and arranged along the bottom edge of the sunburst.

Next I added the small details - the trees along the bottom and the clouds over the sunburst design.

And of course I added lots of stitching! I feel like the stitching really made the details of the design pop!
