When coming up with layout design ideas I often like to use a common concept and adapt it to different supplies, themes, or sizes. I think of it like this, we don't always have to reinvent the wheel. You can always take a simple concept and make it unique with new supplies or shapes or themes. And, doing that will give you endless possibilities!
For this layout I used the concept of accenting the edge of a patterned paper with a large cluster of flowers. Thanks to Cocoa Vanilla and their beautiful flowers die cut packages, this was incredibly easy to do!
I used larger flowers and leaves as a base first and then used foam adhesive to adhere some smaller flowers to fill in any gaps in the design.
To add even more detail and interest I use Nuvo Drops to add a dot in the center of each flower along with some accent word/phrase stickers.
Then near the bottom I added a tag and a small "oh Happy Day!" title piece.
With my photos and journaling I added another smaller flower cluster to tie it all together.
Just think of the different ways you could use this simple design concept! You could change the shape and size of the patterned paper piece and you could change the flowers to a different element. There are so many possibilities!!
