Scrapbook Design Idea | Large Paint Brush w/ Rainbow Hearts

Rainbow designs will always be so fun and satisfying to create!

I loved the idea of creating a paint brush that is painting a streak of rainbow! It's such a fun design!

I started with a paint brush cut file (Silhouette Design Store, Paige Evans 351594) and cut that out of black cardstock. Using black as an accent to bright colors is one of my favorite color combos, ever!

To back the paint brush I used kraft colored cardstock for the bottom and then the rest is filled with painted paper. For the middle I used a metallic silver paint and then for the brush I used a combination of colors in an effort to give it a brush-like look.

For the rainbow I cut out several strips to match the width of the paintbrush. Then I cut out several small hearts out of the same colors and adhered them on each strip with foam adhesive.

This was such a fun design to create!

One of the key methods I use for layout design is focusing on simple design concepts that can be used over and over, and adapting and customizing them to different themes, ideas, and supplies. The first class of this series is focused on wreath designs. Wreath designs have had a strong presence in the scrapbooking world for quite some time and with good reason. They are stunning and so fun to create! This class will take a deep dive into wreath designs and the endless ways you can create with them.

Here's what is included in the class:

• 3-part YouTube video w/ 3 process videos showing wreath tutorials and tips, a review and detailed look at the sketches included in the class, and a wreath layout share featuring many different styles of wreath layouts.

• 52-page PDF with supply lists and suggestions to recreate the 3 layouts in the process videos, a short guide for creating wreath designs with tips and tricks, the full sketches, and several layout examples featuring wreath designs.

• 12 one-page sketches featuring wreath designs.

• 11 two-page sketches featuring wreath designs.

• NEWLY ADDED - Private Facebook group with galleries for each sketch included in the class. There will also be monthly challenges and giveaways!

Important information:

The PDF has a link to the YouTube video for this class. The class will be added to that link on Saturday, April 20 at 10 a.m. CST. That means if you click the link before that date and time you will not have access to the video. Anytime after that date and time you can access, watch, and comment on the video. Allison will be present and available during that time as well to answer any questions in the comments.
