Scrapbook Design Idea | Stitched Background

It's no secret that I love stitching and I love waves so it shouldn't be too shocking to a see a layout of mine that has both!
I love using stitching to add a texture background to plain cardstock. Here I used my Silhouette to sketch the wave design and then I pierced the holes and added the stitching.
I chose to use white embroidery floss to match the white cardstock so it's a subtle pattern and texture that doesn't take away from the rest of the layout design.
This layout was actually the last I was making for a kit that had several layouts and it came together by using lots of scrap pieces and layering them together.
To finish the design I added some Nuvo Jewel Drops to the background. They are my go-to water themed accent!
