Scrapbook Layout | Seconds Before Disaster

This set of photos always give me a good laugh! I happened to snap a "burst" of photos right when I noticed a jellyfish beside Drew. What the camera didn't capture seconds later was the both of us screaming, running away, then laughing hysterically.

Supplies used - Cardstock: American Crafts; Patterned paper: Echo Park and Simple Stories; Foam alphabet stickers: American Crafts; Jelly fish die cuts: Silhouette Design Store, Miss Kate Cuttables; Word/phrase stickers: Simple Stories; Nuvo Jewel Drops: Tonic Studios; Embroidery floss: DMC; Computer font: Century Gothic
This layout was part of my Sketches 2024 class with Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine. The starting point of the sketch was perfect for this fun wave background design. I used four different blue/green papers, punched a wave design along the top, and then layered them together to create a background.

Thanks to the adorable Miss Kate Cuttables jellyfish cut files, I had the perfect embellishment for my story!

Since I used all blue and green for the waves, I thought it would fun to use some bright colors for the jellyfish. I used a solid paper for the bottom layer with the tentacles and then a matching patterned paper for the top piece.

On some of them I added some glitter for even more interest and detail.

I also cut out a few fish from a patterned paper and adhered them with the jellyfish to complete my ocean themed design.

I'm so happy with the way this layout turned out and that we have this hilarious memory documented!
