Scrapbook Layout Using Scrapbook Generation Printables

Have you ever had an idea pop inside your head so fast and with so much energy that you feel like you have to stop everything you're doing and go create? I sure did! The second I saw the new Camera Love Printables at Scrapbook Generation.

I immediately downloaded the red, orange, green, and blue ones and got to work making this...

Supplies used - Cardstock: American Crafts; Camera printables: Printables by Debbie, Scrapbook Generation; Acrylic title piece: Color Cast Designs; Alphabet stickers: Pretty Little Studio; Computer font: Century Gothic; Embroidery floss: DMC; Heart cut file: Silhouette Design Store

I started out by using my Silhouette to cut out a large heart to use as a template and traced it onto my layout.

Then I cut out all of the cameras. This actually went faster than I was expecting! I think because of the simple shape, they were super easy to quickly cut out.

After I had those cameras cut out, I started adhering them into the center of the traced heart. I started with red in the top right edge and worked my way through the rainbow to pink at the bottom.

For the edge pieces that are only partial cameras, I added a tiny bit of adhesive to help hold it in place. Then I laid the white cardstock heart (that I used as a template to trace) on top, lining it up with the pencil outline, and traced the edge of the heart onto the camera. This way I could cut the camera to perfectly fit the curved edge of the heart.

Then to outline the heart shape I added a chain link stitch that matches the colors of the cameras.

I was so happy with how this turned out! You never know if the idea swimming in your head is going to translate to what you actually create and this one far exceeded my expectations!
