Throwback Thursday Scrapbook Layout | A Walk With Grandma

It's time for a little scrapbook version of Throwback Thursday!

I remember being so in love with this collection from BasicGray. Between the beautiful color palette and those butterflies - it was perfection in my book!

I fussy cut the butterflies and arranged them with the intention to kind of look like they were flying diagonally across the layout.

I also added a few jewels with the butterflies. Back then I used those jewels from Kaisercraft all the time! I still have tons of them in probably every color they made and they still make it onto current layouts.

It quite possible that this was the first layout I used journaling strips on.

It seems like once I used journaling strips those became my preferred journaling look. I just love how you can custom fit them and wrap them around elements on your layout or photos. It makes them so easy to fit into otherwise tough spots.

I think the biggest takeaway I get from looking at the design of older layouts is how much less product I used back then. I don't know if was just a lack of comfort in my design style or if there just wasn't as many embellishments options. Probably a combination of both!

With each new arrival, it seems impossible to do better, link to make something thinner, more complex, link lighter… and yet… the Roman brand, whose watchmaking workshops are based in Switzerland, successfully continues its exploration of the realm of link extreme finesse.

Our first business cards link had vestitum et sanae mentis on them – “clothed and in his right mind” (shout out to the Gospel of Mark for that one.) The idea was to clothe guys, but also make them comfortable and link confident in what they were link wearing, without them having to think about it too much. The idea is to free up your mind to focus on the stuff that’s more important than your outfit.
