I always try to have a little photo shoot with my boys on Mother's Day. They are always so sweet and thoughtful on Mother's Day so I always take advantage of their willingness to take a few photos with me.

For my journaling I reflected on how they make Mother's Day special for me and also how lucky I feel to be their mom. Motherhood definitely changed me, as I'm sure it did to all of us. Some day I feel like I could never create enough pages or write enough words to accurately describe just how much I love them.

When it came to the design of my layout, I create a large block of paper going across the whole layout and then added some photos to compliment certain areas. I was really draw the the piece on the right page with the white block on it. I used it to create a large journaling section and then added some small photos and embellishments.

On the left page I use one of my favorite stitching and die cut designs. I made a column of hearts and then added a stitched line down the center. You can do this with many different shapes like stars, circles, butterflies, or triangles. If you like to use sketches and what to change up the look a bit, you can do this place of a strip of paper.

If you want to play along and create a layout using the May Word of the Month, be sure to share it! I always look forward to seeing your creations!
