The focus of this class is to create interesting pattern designs with smaller papers like 6x6” paper pads, 6x8” paper pads, or scraps. We are going to explore the magic of turning smaller papers into big, bold, detailed, and fun designs.

The class will take place over the course of 10 weeks and will start on Monday, March 3 in a private Facebook group. Each week will center around a specific pattern design that can be created by arranging smaller pieces of paper together. Of course there will be lots of sketches and examples along with information on how to build the pattern, simplify the pattern, and customize the pattern.

Here’s what included in the class:

• 30 full one-page sketches (3 per week/pattern)

• 30 full two-page sketches (3 per week/pattern)

• A PDF with tips, tricks, and techniques that apply to creating these patterns

• Weekly layout examples by Allison Davis

• A weekly process video showing how to build the pattern and how Allison created her layout.

• A weekly PDF going over the pattern design for the week. This document provides a detailed look at the pattern, how to create it, and how to adapt and customize it. There is also a detailed look at the sketches for the week and the layout Allison created with the pattern.

• A private Facebook group. The group has a gallery for each week and you are invited to share your layouts in those galleries. Participation is not required!

• Weekly giveaways and challenges.

• Live videos that will be announced at a later date in the class.
