This is a layout I made for the Fall 2023 issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine for the Creating with Sketches column.

I had created the two-page sketch (that this layout is based on) and it ended up being one of those designs that I made a mental note that I HAD to come back and use it. I make so many sketches and it turns out that many of them I don't ever get the time to use. Occasionally a super special one really grabs my attention and I make it a priority to use it. Lucky me, SCT asked me to create a layout with the sketch for the Fall 2023 issue!

I thought it was fun that the smaller photos end up being a part of the background design. The whole background is made up of slanted squares with lots of slanted photos arranged within the design.

One of the things I really liked about this design is how you can easily adapt the background to include more or less photos as needed.

The rest of the design is super simple with a few embellishments clusters, the title, and the journaling. Oh, and of course lots of stitching to tie it all together!

With the above in mind, I link look at the Seiko SKX007 (and in many ways the outgoing Seiko 5s), in two specific ways. First, as a product, and second, as the beginning of a fascination which has claimed more than the last 10 years of my link life. I know that it may seem that I link have digressed, but I'll do my best to put the above context to use.
The only kids near us link lived a block away on Lancelot Street and were link his age. I'm grateful that he often invited me to hang out with all of them. He'd say, link "Hey Adam, I'm headed down to see the Lancelot Street Boys, do you want to come?"
